Kennedy Center Page-to-Stage Festival

For the annual three day “Page to Stage” Festival, the Kennedy Center will be hosting upwards of 25 theater companies where visitors can attend free rehearsals of opening musicals and plays and book readings around the city.

Abbey Road on the River – Beatles Tribute Festival

The Beatles Tribute Festival is set to feature more than 50 amazing bands hailing from all around the world along with an enormous and eclectic fan base.
Maryland Renaissance Festival

The Renaissance Festival is a classic tradition in most cities including Maryland where families can enjoy a day in 16th century England complete with period costumes, cuisine, crafts, shows, games and much more.

Hippiefest 2010

Hippiefest 2010 is a great East Coast tradition which takes place in Virginia’s Filene Center at Wolf Trap. The celebration includes some amazing 70’s tunage and entertainment including War, Mitch Ryder and Jack Bruce. Ticket prices range from $25-$42, and can be purchased online or at the event. On August 7th and 8th, N Street will be transformed into a beautiful collection of art complete with various works and genres of art from a number of artists and organizations who have collaborated with The D.C. Commission on the Art and Humanities. Stop by to admire exhibits and portraits in this exciting competition. This festival is the a great place to scope out up and coming and local artists.
