Korean War Memorial
Construction on the Memorial began in 1993 and was dedicated on July 27, 1995. The Korean Memorial is in the shape of a triangle intersecting a circle. In the circle are 19 stainless steel statues of the squads on patrol, they include 15 Army men, 2 Marines, 1 Navy Medic and 1 Air Force officer. In the middle of the circle the Pool of Remembrance sits lined with black granite and surrounded by trees and benches. The Memorial is located in West Potomac Park, southeast of the Lincoln Memorial.
