Reopening of The Smithsonian National Museum

On November 21st, 2008 The Smithsonian National Museum will present its striking renovation at an official ribbon cutting ceremony from 8:30-10am and grand reopening events beginning that Friday, 10 am-7:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 10 am-5:30 pm. The new restorations will include recent architecture, amenities and galleries while maintaining traditional favorites. The Star Spangled Banner also receives an update with a new setting and which represents the “dawn’s early light”. The 85 million dollar project marks a fresh take on an old classic.
