Here’s what Joanne said about the tour she took on June 3:

Took the 6 hour tour with Deon and Miller was the driver – Fantastic, Very Informative. I will tell my friends who are coming to DC!

We just got home from a trip to Washington DC. The highlight of the trip – our OnBoard Tour of the sights with Amy!! What a brilliant mind this woman has. We put together a little home movie of our tour with her and we would love to make it available to her. Thanks again to Amy for a WONDERFUL whirlwind tour of Washington DC!

Here is their video:

Dan said the following about our DC The Lights! Night Tour:

I took the 7:30 Night Tour of DC, the tour guide was Andrew.
What a great tour, better yet was Andrew’s abililty to give detail of the tour. I have been on tour’s before… but Andrew brought History to life.
I would do the same tour over 10x just to hear the color of DC given by Andrew—well done.
Thanks so much… I will tell my associate and friends of your tours.

Leandra from Vancouver wrote in February:

I had a wonderful experience on your city tour on Friday February 27, 2010. Deion, our tour guide and Miller, the driver, were certainly two true professionals!! Deion was so knowledgeable, engaging and professional! In fact, he even had a delightful way of encouraging us off the bus in freezing windy weather to see the spectacular sites of DC and the surrounding area.

Thanks so much for creating such a memorable experience in Washington, DC.

We received this email in May of 2009:

Crystal,
Steve and Linda were wonderful. Steve’s easy-going manner and
quick-thinking were extremely appreciated by our entire group! I am so
thankful to you and your entire staff. I can’t say enough about how much
Steve and you went out of your way for our benefit. It was such a
surprise. I am excited to return to DC to join your walking tour. I will also anticipate a trip to NYC that much more knowing that OnBoard is there as well. Again, a huge thank you to Steve for such an amazing day for the children as well as the children in each of the four adults that accompanied the group. And a special thank you to you for working diligently with me to answer all of my questions and provide the best service possible.
Until we speak again!

The Ploeger Familly sent this in August of 2008:

We want to thank you and your company for providing us with a very thorough and enjoyable tour of Washington DC. Our tour guide, Dion, and our bus driver, Miller, did an excellent job and were very enjoyable to “hang out with” for the day.
We will definitely recommend your tours to any of our family members or friends who may be planning on visiting Washington DC in the future.
Thanks again for an enjoyable experience!!

Kathleen from Maryland wrote this about our DC night lights tour in August of 2008:

D.C. is beautiful at night and this was a great way to experience it. I’m glad the bus had cold water and AC waiting for us after stops. I only wish we had more time to explore and stop at these magnificent monuments.

Nancy wrote this to us in July 2008:

Dear OnBoard,

Thank you for giving my family such a wonderful tour of Washington, DC. My
16 yr old son started off a bit sleepy, but as the tour progressed, he
became more interested in what he saw. David was a cheerful and
knowledgeable tour guide.

While driving around Washington our On-Board van would occasionally stop
next to other tour busses. I noticed that they were mostly not air
conditioned or were an enormous size. Washington’s summer is hot, muggy and
scorching on the skin, but my family was nice and cool in your covered van.
Because our tour group was smaller, we never had to wait around for
stragglers at each stop, nor wait for the next “Jump off and On Tour” bus.

Your DC company is so organized. The bus would drop us in front of one
monument, and our guide would call it back when we were ready to be picked
up on the other side. We never wasted a single minute of our 6 hours tour;
we saw everything without being rushed. There aren’t Metro stops by most of
the major monuments nor is parking easily found; my family would have
otherwise missed them if we hadn’t booked a tour.

The free bottles of water was a very nice touch, especially for the
young and elderly who could never carry that much water with them. I have
already told another flight attendant who has a long DCA layover to use your
company. A couple on my tour wondered if OnBoard Tours goes anywhere else.
I told them that you were based in NYC. That was where they were from, and
since the haven’t seen everything in their town, they said that they would
check out your website.

I hope to see you again on one of my flights. Keep up the good work.
Yours truly,
Nancy, [XYZ] Airlines Flight Attendant

Pamela from Illinois wrote on November 1, 2007:

Steve made this tour the best I’ve ever taken – he was funny, informed, conscientious of his guests and just a wealth of information. With people like him on your crew you can’t go wrong – I can’t find his last name but he was THE BEST.

Regarding Congressman Tim Walberg’s Night Tour:

Our experience of Washington, DC Party Shuttle for the Moonlight Monument/Memorial Tour on Thursday, 4JAN’07 was incredible. Your staff was so professional and helpful all the way through. Our numbers increased the afternoon of the tour. Amanda was able to secure a 2nd bus for our group. The drivers and tour guides were fantastic. They made sure all the guests were welcome and comfortable. The tour guides were extremely personable and knowledgeable. It was a most pleasurable experience for all forty-four (44) of us. We will most definitely use your tour/transportation services for all our future business to Washington, DC. Congratulations on a job well done!!!

We just wanted to tell you that Steve, our tourguide who took us on the night-lights tour on June 24th, is completely great! We did an awesome job narrating the tour and answering all the questions thrown his way. The tour was highly informative and exceeded our expectations. Your driver was great too–so very hospitable and always ready with a cold drink on a hot day (I apologize I could not remember his name). He did a great job navigating despite the fact that many of the streets were closed near the post office due to a local festival. Please, please make sure that you give both these gentlemen your highest regards as we were very happy with the tour.

The Weller Family said:

Just wanted to report a great trip with your bus driver and tour guide. We did the evening monument tour and everything was fantastic. Besides being smaller and more personal than the competition, the bus was air conditioned which was definitely a plus on a muggy summer night. Congrats to your great bus driver who expertly made his way around the city the same night the President was attending a play at the Ford Theatre. Our guide was also great and so knowledgable. (I forgot his name, but he was originally from Lodi, NJ) He made the tour so personable and interesting. I noticed that a guide from one of the other companies did not escort his group through the different monuments. Our guide even took family photos with our camera that turned out great. What a wonderful way to see a beautiful city all decked out in it’s evening best. Thanks again. We will recommend you to our friends!

“My wife, our daughter and I were on the full-day D.C. Party Shuttle Tour this past Sunday, May 6th. I am pleased to report to you that it was a great experience. The tour was very well structured; we were amazed afterwards to reflect back on how much we had seen. And our guide Richard was terrific, being well informed, interesting and enthusiastic about giving us information and responding to our questions. Thanks for your great service.”

My son and I had never been to Washington DC. We took your tour this past weekend and it was a great! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of the sites that we visited and was very personable. My son is not a tourist type kid but he Loved this tour. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to see the sites and hear about our nations history!

Claud from Dublin, Ireland said:

“…I have to say we had a great time on the shuttle, especially the “little walks” off the bus we went on. We would have spent a couple of days on those red buses trying to see all the same sights…”

Doug G. from California wrote:

“I could have left Washington DC after the tour and would have been satisfied with what I saw and learned. Dion was great (my daughter was the person who told us about the tour, she visited a week prior to my visit. I have told many people about the value of the tour to understand the sights and attractions in Washington DC. Dion was great…….lots of information with a good delivery style. I have and will continue to say positive things about my experience with the tour.”

Donna K. says

“We had a great time on the twenty-fourth and would recommend you to anyone. Dion did an excellent job. Thanks again.”

“Thank you for such a great tour of Washington! It was really convenient because it gave us the first impression of Washington; we had an evening flight on Saturday and we got to the hotel really late, so Sunday morning was our first day in D.C. Besides, we got to see everything important in the city and the following two days we had the opportunity to enjoy and relax. It is really convenient that the tour includes the area of Georgetown, because it makes it feasible without any effort. The time of the stops was perfect and specially considering that the guide would look and wait for everyone to come together again before moving: you never felt that you were in a hurry at all.Although it was extremely hot, the bus was air conditioned and we got bottles of water in the bus, and that was really helfpul. The driver and the guide were really friendly and did really well.  In sum, it was great! the pictures are really cute and we loved it. Thank you so much for the opportunity: it helped a lot to have an overall impression of the city in a short time and we really liked it!”
