Sounds in the Square Summer Concert Series 2009

Thursday nights kick off this summer with the 2009 Summer Concert Series aptly named “Sounds in the Square”. The free concert in Farragut Square Park features entertainment from popular local artists and bands. Bring your blanket and get ready for summer to hit downtown D.C.

Jazz in The Garden

Enjoy free concerts in a beautiful setting of 20th century sculpture, monuments and a gorgeous landscape at The National Gallery of Art. Arrive early and concerts will be held in The Pavilion Café on rainy days.

Grab a date, picnic and a blanket for a D.C. summer fave, Screen on the Green which features old classics on a larger than life movie screen, perfect for warm nights on the National Mall.
NoMa Summer Screen
(Weds, June 10-July 29; 7p.m.-11p.m.; L Street b/w 2nd & 3rd Streets, NE Washington, D.C.)
Families love getting together at NoMa’s summer event where a variety of musical films will be shown on the lawn. Pre-film activities will take place including live music, DJ’s and special guests.
