The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool

The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting pool is located between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial on the west side of the National Mall. The pool is one third of a mile long and 3 feet deep. You can see either the Lincoln Memorial or the Washington Monument clearly reflected in the pool depending on where you stand.
The smaller reflecting pool located on the east end of the Mall directly west of the U.S. Capitol Building is generally less well known but is a peaceful place to stop and admire the Wall or the Capitol building. It reflects the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial.
